July 27, 2010

On Saturday, January 16th, 2010, our events co-ordinator, Geopo Dacanay organized Campus Common’s first ever tenant Pancake Breakfast. Tenants woke up and headed over to the study lounge to enjoy a complimentary pancake feast, which included fresh juices as well.  The pancakes and juices were served by Management, and by some friendly volunteers who ensured that everyone had a good time.  This was a great way to meet all the new tenants and to welcome everyone back from their break as the event drew out most of the tenants. As the New Year continues to move on, Geopo promises to keep bringing in new, fresh, and fun ideas to continue to build a social community within the walls of Campus Common.

On December 16, 2009, residents of Campus Common participated in one of its’ first monthly events. Geopo Dacanay, our newest member of the Campus Common team held December’s “Therapy and Wellness” event. Tenants were given free massages, provided by, “Massage in Motion”, and were treated with free refreshments and snacks. These events are designed for the tenants to build a social community within Campus Common. For most of the tenants, this is their first time away from home, so we would like to encourage that everyone enjoys their stay while focusing on their studies.  This was the first of many as more will be planned by the Events Co-Coordinator, Geopo, at Campus Common for the tenants throughout the academic year.
